The Fishing Edge: Vermillion Bay area
The Vermillion Edge covers an area from the Intracoastal Water Way, Intracoastal City on the north west to the Weeks Island at the northeast including many that are located in around Weeks Bay. It includes the 25 foot deep hole waypoint in Weeks Bayou, locations in and around Cote Blanche Bay at Marone Point, to East Cote Bay to the East Cote Bay reefs at the Gulf of Mexico, to the Shell Keys Reefs. It also has the Grassy Island Point Reefs It also had positions around Tete Butte reef at the Gulf of Mexico.
It has the deep hole in Southwest Pass the near Porpoise Point, long. And naturally it has Redfish Point and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Artificial Reefs near the point.
The Vermillion Bay Edge consists of over 200 different waypoint positions. Many are locations that were once land points or islands and or that are now submerged in addition to other visible and key navigation locations.
